This is the best modern graphite dry fly rod I have used in my recent memory (. They are slightly faster then their IM6 brothers & sisters. Review: Winston AIR fly rod I have a Fisher-rolled 8'6' 4wt before IM6 with an old trophy logo. Matrix spinning rod blanks are equally impressive and a great value for the dollar.
Nice smooth casts and better in my opinion than the MF Sage DS series and Orvis Streamlines.
They should be able to cast larger flies a good distance, but a solid short game is essential, too. Winston's first generation of 'LT' rod tapers (3 piece models) are wonderful casting rods.
